Privacy Policy

Jiyup.com (“Jiyup”) is an AI shopping assistant. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Your mobile number and name, to log you in.
- Your approximate location (city and state), from your device’s location if you allow it, otherwise estimated from your internet connection. To turn device coordinates into a city name, your browser sends them to BigDataCloud’s reverse-geocoding service.
- Your conversations with Jiyup, typed or spoken (speech is turned into text by your browser).
- If you agree to memory: preferences you share (brands, the bank you pay with), products you tell us you bought and your feedback on them.
- Which recommended products you open on Amazon.
We never ask for, and you should never share, card numbers, CVV, OTPs, PINs or passwords.
Why we use it
- To recommend products that fit your needs, budget, language and payment method.
- To remember you between visits and follow up on your purchases, only if you agreed to memory.
- To keep the service secure and to improve it.
Who processes it
- Anthropic (Claude), which powers the conversation, receives your messages and the context needed to answer.
- Our SMS provider receives your mobile number to deliver the OTP.
- Our hosting and database providers store the data.
- When you open a product, Amazon receives the visit through our affiliate link. Amazon does not tell us who bought what.
Your choices
- Use “Delete my memory” in the chat menu to delete your chats, remembered facts and purchases.
- You can decline location access; Jiyup still works.
- To delete your account entirely, email privacy@jiyup.com from or about your registered number.
Age
Jiyup is only for people aged 18 and over.
